Magical Sticks VII

$700.00

Solar Plate Intaglio Print

Print Size: 16 x 10.5 inches

Presented on 21.5 x 17.5 inch paper.

Edition of 5.

This series of nine intaglio prints was the inspiration for the interactive piece “Magical Sticks” formerly installed at the Lubeznik Center in the Midwest and in the New York City area. All images signed and numbered.

With these dreamscapes and my playful interaction with sticks I wanted to encourage the viewer to interact with their creative self and become a part of my art making process.

In the original installations of intaglio prints, I invite the viewer to participate in an energetic exchange that removed the barrier separating artist from viewer. Pencils hung from a string beside each image so viewers could express themselves in the blank areas around the images, becoming active rather than passive participants. I lift the veil between artist and viewer to make our connection tangible and to serve as an awaken to see this importance.
